Narco Circus

In January 2016, Joaquin Guzmán Lorea, known as El Chapo, Mexico’s biggest drug trafficker, was arrested. He was extradited, then tried in July 2019 in the United States, where 90% of the drugs enter through Mexico. His trial is intended to be an example of the fight against drugs led by the Americans. However, the cartel he led was able to prosper thanks to the complicity of the Mexican and American governments.
